Project Engineer – Civil Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join a fast‑growing civil contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality infrastructure, land development and civil projects. You will own projects from the tender stage through to practical completion, working alongside an experienced team in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from tender award through to practical completion.
• Monitor project programmes to ensure works are delivered on time and to specification.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Control project budgets, cost forecasting and financial reporting.
• Track performance and provide regular stakeholder reports.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Promote health and safety culture, conduct site audits and manage risks.
• Champion environmental best practices and sustainable construction methods.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil construction.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Proven experience managing civil construction projects.
• Strong understanding of project controls, cost reporting and programme management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving and decision‑making.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
