About the role

Spark is seeking a senior commercial leader to own the end‑to‑end commercial delivery of its Mobile/RAN programme, a high‑value capital investment shaping New Zealand’s future network. You will act as the trusted commercial partner across mobile and fibre network delivery, driving value, governance and supplier performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercial oversight for the Mobile/RAN programme, ensuring alignment with delivery, finance and supplier leadership.
• Strengthen governance, accountability and commercial rigour across contracts and billing.
• Maintain a clear view of supplier spend, scope, milestones and risk, and drive commercial assurance.
• Partner with delivery and finance teams to improve cost transparency and performance.
• Manage key supplier relationships, ensuring outcomes match agreed objectives.
• Deliver actionable insights to support senior decision‑making.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in commercial, procurement or programme roles within telco, infrastructure or large‑scale delivery environments.
• Proven track record leading commercial outcomes for major CAPEX programmes.
• Strong understanding of mobile (RAN) and/or fibre network delivery models.
• Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders across delivery, finance and commercial teams.
• Mindset that balances value protection, accountability and partnership.
