About the role
One NZ is looking for a Procurement Category Manager to drive commercial value through effective sourcing, supplier management and procurement support across key categories. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, manage risks and ensure decisions align with business goals and procurement policy.
Key responsibilities
- Support sourcing activities, contract renewals and supplier onboarding within assigned categories.
- Review supplier contracts and spend data to uncover commercial opportunities and risks.
- Contribute to negotiations and provide procurement recommendations in line with policy and governance requirements.
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Finance and Privacy teams to ensure appropriate contract controls and risk mitigation.
- Help deliver agreed savings and value targets for the categories.
- Maintain effective supplier governance and stakeholder relationships.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of procurement principles and sourcing processes.
- Experience supporting contract negotiations and supplier engagements.
- Ability to analyse commercial data and contractual information to form practical recommendations.
- Sound contract interpretation capability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within structured governance frameworks.
- Developed communication skills for stakeholder exchange.
