Process Operator – Day Shift

About the role

We are seeking a reliable, safety‑focused Process Operator to join our high‑performing team at Bluebird Foods in Wiri. This full‑time, day‑shift position involves operating highly automated cooking and packaging equipment to produce our popular snack brands.

Key responsibilities

• Operate industrial cooking equipment and production machinery.
• Run robotic packaging lines that fill chips into packets and boxes.
• Record, report and input accurate production data into computerized systems.
• Conduct flavour testing to ensure correct flavour delivery for each product run.
• Perform quality checks, manage materials and handle waste according to standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in food processing, manufacturing, industrial kitchen or cooking environments.
• Understanding of HACCP and GMP with a strong record of safe work practices.
• High mechanical aptitude with meticulous attention to detail, safety and reliability.
• Ability to work effectively within a food production team and contribute to food‑safety targets.
• Motivation to develop a long‑term career in food manufacturing.
