About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Primary Tutor to support SEND and SEMH students in Leigh and surrounding areas. The role involves delivering engaging, personalised lessons that help learners re‑engage with education and develop core academic skills.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver bespoke lesson plans tailored to each child’s interests and needs.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group tutoring for pupils ranging from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4.
- Build positive relationships with students to boost confidence and motivation.
- Monitor progress and adjust teaching approaches to ensure effective learning.
- Collaborate with the Specialist SEND team to coordinate referrals and additional support.
Required profile
- Experience working with SEND or SEMH students is advantageous.
- Resilience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
- Flexibility to work variable hours and adapt to each student’s schedule.
