About the role

The University of Nebraska‑Lincoln’s Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources invites applications for the Mike Yanney CASNR Yeutter Institute Chair at the rank of associate or full professor. This senior faculty position will lead research and teaching at the nexus of international agriculture trade and policy, supporting the university’s land‑grant mission.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and direct a high‑impact research agenda on global agricultural trade and policy.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to international agriculture economics and policy.
• Secure external funding and foster collaborations with industry, government, and international partners.
• Mentor graduate students and junior faculty.
• Engage with policymakers and stakeholders to translate research into actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Established scholarly record in international agriculture trade, economics, or policy.
• Demonstrated ability to obtain research funding and publish in leading journals.
• Experience teaching at the university level and supervising graduate research.
• Strong communication skills for outreach to diverse audiences.
