Junior Management Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Management Accountant to join our Finance Team in Napier. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in accounts receivable, customer communication, and month‑end activities while working alongside senior leaders, including two Chartered Accountant Directors.

Key responsibilities

• Process core accounts receivable tasks, including debtor management and payment allocation.
• Manage and reconcile customer accounts accurately.
• Communicate professionally with customers about outstanding balances.
• Assist with account reconciliations and resolve queries.
• Support month‑end processes and broader finance team activities.
• Maintain accurate financial and customer records.
• Provide general support to the Finance Team as experience grows.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Confident communication skills, especially over the phone.
• Positive, proactive attitude with curiosity about business operations.
• Good organisation and time‑management abilities.
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Interest in building a career in accounting or finance (formal experience not essential).
