About the role
The Department of Biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University seeks a full‑time Instructor to join its faculty for a permanent, 12‑month appointment. The position is non‑tenure‑track and focuses on teaching, student advising, and supporting the department’s educational mission.
Key responsibilities
- Advise undergraduate students on course selection, research opportunities, and career planning.
- Collaborate with faculty to deliver and assess undergraduate and master’s laboratory courses.
- Maintain regular office hours for student advising and support.
- Teach and manage laboratory components of courses and summer research programs.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of biochemistry and related life‑science disciplines.
