ICT Technical Senior Specialist

About the role

AUT's ICT Directorate is seeking a motivated senior specialist to lead the refresh of technical process and roadmap documentation. This 6‑month fixed‑term position will support the university’s journey toward higher operational maturity in infrastructure and service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse existing operational processes and translate them into clear, structured documentation artefacts.
• Update and enhance technical roadmaps to reflect current and future state of ICT services.
• Collaborate with ICT subject‑matter experts to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Socialise documented processes with management and obtain endorsement.
• Contribute to the overall improvement of ICT operational maturity.

Required profile

• Self‑starter capable of working independently once briefed.
• Strong ability to present, engage and influence senior stakeholders.
• Good understanding of ICT infrastructure and related operational practices.
• Excellent written communication skills for producing technical documentation.
