HR Business Partner – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term in Auckland

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our Auckland office for a 12‑month fixed‑term assignment covering parental leave. In this role you will partner with leaders and employees across New Zealand and Australia, helping to create a great workplace and drive positive change.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, influencing and resolving employee issues.
• Collaborate with HR specialist groups such as Learning & Development, Recruiting and Compensation.
• Identify and implement improvements to the employee experience.
• Coach and mentor managers to build engagement and leadership capability.
• Manage workers‑compensation requirements, including renewals and claims.
• Support recruitment activities and contribute to succession planning, talent reviews and merit planning.
• Develop junior HR team members and promote continuous learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR role.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation; Australian Modern Awards experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with all organisational levels and influence outcomes.
• Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly within New Zealand and to Australia.
