General Practitioner (GP) Lead

About the role

The Doctors Mt Wellington is seeking an experienced General Practitioner to take on the GP Lead role. You will join a small, supportive practice with a loyal patient base and play a central part in shaping clinical strategy and quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Champion equity and clinical excellence across the practice.
• Lead quality‑improvement initiatives and develop efficient clinical workflows.
• Participate in strategic planning and sit at the practice leadership table.
• Collaborate with administration, nursing, and GP teams to deliver high‑quality primary care.

Required profile

• Current FRNZCGP and Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
• Proven primary‑care experience in New Zealand.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Leadership and management capability with a focus on patient‑centred care.
• Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand.
