Export Accountant – Fixed-term (18 months)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Export Accountant to join Bostock New Zealand’s Finance team on an 18‑month fixed‑term maternity cover. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support the company’s export programme by ensuring accurate financial processing, grower payments and cost recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Process export sales, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
• Manage grower payment schedules, returns and maintain grower databases.
• Administer cost recovery structures in line with supply agreements.
• Perform reconciliations, inter‑company reconciliations and support month‑end / year‑end close.
• Assist with cash‑flow forecasting, trade finance activities and management reporting.
• Provide analysis and reporting to support export operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous accounting experience in a commercial export environment, preferably in apple or primary produce.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
