Ecommerce Lead

About the role

Simon James is looking for a dynamic Ecommerce Lead to drive performance, optimisation and growth of its online store and digital customer experience. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the role sits at the intersection of brand, customer experience and commercial performance, using data‑driven insights to maximise sales and support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the online store, including product creation, content, merchandising and pricing.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate brand and product representation.
• Use testing, analytics and reporting to optimise conversion, user experience and sales performance.
• Implement strategies that drive conversion and online sales growth.
• Prioritise and deliver website enhancements with developers and stakeholders.
• Support campaign execution and integrate ecommerce with marketing activities.
• Maintain website content and oversee publishing of editorial material.
• Optimise the online customer journey and overall experience.
• Create visual assets using Adobe Suite for product pages and campaigns.
• Manage client communications across email, live chat and online enquiries.
• Produce print and digital creative assets that align with brand identity.
• Provide graphic design support to the marketing team as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing and optimising Shopify ecommerce sites, preferably in a premium retail or design‑led environment.
• Hands‑on knowledge of integrated apps such as Stoq.
• Experience with Klaviyo, Google Analytics and Meta platforms.
• Commercial mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across marketing, creative and technical teams.
• Strong time‑management skills and capacity to work independently.
