Data Center IT Technician – Data Centre Operations

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for skilled Server/Network Technicians to join its Data Centre Operations team. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot the IT infrastructure that powers the AWS cloud, working closely with engineering and logistics teams to keep data centers running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs.
• Diagnose and repair server, storage, and network devices, including physical part replacement.
• Remediate physical power issues on racks and support power & cooling events.
• Perform shift work on a 4‑days‑on/4‑days‑off rotational schedule, including night shifts.
• Lift and rack equipment using provided lifting equipment.
• Travel between sites using a personal vehicle; a valid driver’s license is required.

Required profile

• Passion for technology and experience with server, storage, and network hardware.
• Physical ability to lift and handle equipment safely.
• Willingness to work rotating shift schedules.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for site travel.
