Cybersecurity Operations Analyst

About the role

DEFEND is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to join its security operations centre. In this role you will monitor, analyse and respond to security events, helping protect customers and advance the company’s mission of a cyber‑resilient world.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events across customer environments to identify potential threats.
• Perform triage, investigation and severity assessment of security incidents.
• Escalate incidents as needed and conduct threat‑scope analysis to determine exposure.
• Document findings, correlate threat intelligence and produce actionable reports for customers.
• Respond promptly to incidents, ensuring remediation steps are followed and recorded.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation to provide rapid response during critical incidents.
• Maintain accurate documentation of monitoring and incident‑response activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in threat detection and incident response.
• Experience with threat intelligence reporting and analysis.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and excellent documentation capabilities.
