Customer Account Manager – Wellington

About the role

Motion is seeking a proactive Customer Account Manager to drive sales and manage key accounts across its Wellington territory. This role blends autonomous sales planning with hands‑on account management, ideal for curious, mechanically‑minded professionals who enjoy working with industrial and construction stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan in partnership with the Motion network.
• Prospect new business opportunities and collaborate with other business units to maximise existing accounts.
• Manage a portfolio of customers, ensuring premium service and satisfaction.
• Support the wider team with ad‑hoc requirements and occasional customer service tasks.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience in solution‑selling industrial products and services.
• Proven ability to identify and capture new business opportunities within existing customer bases.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and curiosity about mechanical/industrial environments.
• Comfortable engaging with blue‑collar, construction and industrial stakeholders.
• Team‑player attitude.
