Commercial Manager - Supplier & Vendor Relationships

About the role

Connexa, New Zealand's leading mobile tower infrastructure company, is seeking a Commercial Manager to own supplier and partner governance, lead key commercial negotiations, and provide pragmatic advice to senior leaders as the company expands its national tower portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier and partner relationships with strategic governance.
• Interface with suppliers and internal teams to agree statements of work for projects.
• Enhance tools, policies, processes, and reporting related to supplier management.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks.
• Interpret and draft commercial contracts based on business requirements.
• Lead or contribute to negotiations and dispute resolution.
• Set and measure SLAs, developing service improvement plans.
• Design and deliver cost management and compliance outcomes.
• Feed supplier, partner and category innovation back into the business.
• Lead other strategic projects and business improvement initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Supplier management and procurement experience within telco, engineering, or infrastructure.
• Strong commercial acumen to drive optimal business outcomes.
• Proven ability to analyse agreements and develop effective negotiation and service improvement strategies.
• Skilled in managing data and translating it into actionable insights.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement with the ability to balance competing priorities.
• Clear and effective communication across all formats, simplifying complex information.
