Bench Technician – Auckland

About the role

Arjo is seeking an enthusiastic Bench Technician to join its Operations team at the Auckland site. This permanent, full‑time position involves testing, servicing and repairing medical equipment, primarily pressure‑care mattresses and pumps, in a hands‑on, physical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform first‑line testing, servicing and repairs of pressure‑care mattresses and pump equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out corrective actions on a variety of medical devices.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with infection‑control standards.
• Interact with internal staff and external customers to deliver high‑quality technical support.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of a workshop environment.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Professional appearance and commitment to upholding the company’s brand.
• Sensitivity to working in a healthcare setting.

Required skills

• Electrical Appliance Serviceperson (EAS) or Electrical Service Technician (EST) qualification.
• EWRB registration.
• Experience with first‑line electrical equipment repair.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfortable using iPads and computers for service documentation.
