About the role
We are seeking an experienced Arrangements Assurance Consultant to lead and enhance our assurance framework for schemes and facilities. In this pivotal role you will design, coordinate and execute risk‑based assurance activities across underwriting, claims and delegated authority arrangements, while building trusted relationships with partners.
Key responsibilities
- Design, coordinate and lead delivery of the Arrangements Assurance Framework, applying agreed principles, methodology, scope and minimum standards.
- Maintain the annual assurance plan and review schedule, prioritising activities based on risk and emerging issues.
- Lead end‑to‑end on‑site and remote assurance reviews, including scoping, testing, evidence gathering and documentation.
- Determine the most appropriate assurance approach (partner attestations, third‑party assurance, self‑assessments, direct testing) and escalate unclear risks.
- Prepare concise assurance reports with evidence‑based conclusions, ratings and impact analysis.
- Support issue and remediation management, monitoring actions and escalating overdue or ineffective remediation.
- Analyse themes and trends to identify systemic compliance, conduct, brand and financial risks, sharing insights with relevant forums.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry.
- Strong underwriting background with exposure to assurance, audit or compliance activities.
- Proven ability to build and manage effective stakeholder and partner relationships.
- Experience interpreting contracts and applying risk management techniques to assurance activity.
- High analytical capability, attention to detail and sound judgement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and constructive challenge.
