About the role

Join the Platypus Shoes team in Hornby as a Sales Assistant, helping customers find the perfect footwear from leading brands. You will work in a fast‑paced store environment, supporting the management team to drive sales and deliver an exceptional shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to all customers.
• Maintain visual standards and product presentation on the shop floor.
• Assist with stock replenishment, inventory checks and merchandising.
• Process transactions accurately and handle cash responsibly.
• Support promotional activities and achieve daily sales targets.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Passion for streetwear, sneaker culture and footwear trends.
• Ability to thrive in a high‑energy, team‑oriented environment.
• Self‑motivated with a focus on meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Flexible availability for late‑night trade, weekends and holidays.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality or similar customer‑facing roles.
