Mathematics and Statistics Teacher (Fixed‑term)

About the role

Cashmere High School is seeking a passionate Mathematics and Statistics Teacher to join our vibrant secondary community from Term 3 2026. The role begins full‑time on 20 July 2026 and transitions to part‑time (0.6 FTE) from 5 November until 15 December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess the Mathematics and Statistics curriculum for senior students.
• Inspire learners to achieve high standards and develop a love for quantitative reasoning.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment aligned with the school’s COVE values.
• Contribute to the school’s co‑curricular programme and extracurricular activities.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning and share best practices with colleagues.

Required profile

• New Zealand Registered Teacher status.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.

• Willingness to participate actively in co‑curricular and professional development activities.
