About the role
The School of Hospitality, Tourism and Events at Auckland University of Technology is seeking a permanent, full-time Lecturer to join its City campus. This position offers the opportunity to influence teaching, research and academic service within a vibrant, practice-led environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across hospitality, gastronomy and events programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Develop and continuously improve curricula, study programmes and innovative pedagogical approaches.
- Design teaching materials, mark assignments and supervise student projects.
- Conduct scholarly research that contributes to hospitality, tourism and events policy and practice.
- Participate in academic citizenship activities, including service to the School and the wider university community.
Required profile
- Professional experience in the hospitality, events or gastronomy sectors.
- Post-graduate qualification (e.g., Master’s or PhD) relevant to the discipline.
- Commitment to developing teaching and scholarship skills.
- Ability to contribute to programme and course development.
