Learn to Swim Instructor (Babies & Toddlers)

About the role

We are looking for a Learn to Swim Instructor to join the Manurewa Pools and Leisure Centre team. You will deliver swimming lessons to babies and toddlers, creating a safe and enjoyable environment for our youngest swimmers.

Key responsibilities

• Teach basic swimming skills to children from 6 months to preschool age, following the centre’s curriculum.
• Maintain a fun, caring and safe environment for customers and visitors.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to support the local community.
• Work the scheduled shifts (Thursday afternoons and Sunday mornings) and adapt to roster changes as needed.

Required profile

• Confident swimmer with a genuine love for water and working with young children.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• At least 16 years old.
• Current first‑aid certificate.
• Swim teacher qualification (or willingness to complete a two‑week training program).
