EUC Engineer / Intune Engineer (Contract)

About the role

This contract position supports a well‑established Kiwi organisation with a mature on‑premises and multi‑cloud infrastructure. The role starts as a two‑month contract in June 2026, with the possibility of month‑to‑month extension, and focuses on modern workplace and endpoint management.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex hardware, software, and identity issues while meeting SLA targets.
• Manage imaging, patching, and lifecycle of a mixed Windows and macOS fleet.
• Design, scale, and maintain centralized endpoint configurations using Microsoft Intune and JAMF.
• Own application packaging, deployment pipelines, and configuration policies.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, Azure AD/Entra ID, and hybrid single sign‑on.
• Support and scale Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix environments for secure remote work.
• Develop PowerShell scripts and automated workflows to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain on‑prem peripherals such as print servers, Follow‑Me printing, and executive AV setups.

Required profile

• Available to start in June 2026 with valid New Zealand work rights.
• 3+ years of system administration, infrastructure or EUC engineering experience in a hybrid corporate environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for both Windows and macOS desktops.
• Hands‑on experience with AD/OU/GPO auditing and restructuring.
• Solid understanding of computer security, data protection, storage fundamentals and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting and building repeatable automation playbooks.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear guidance for non‑technical stakeholders.
