Customer Service Representative (Whanganui)

About the role

As a Customer Service Representative at Westpac’s Whanganui branch, you will be the first friendly voice our customers hear. You’ll help people navigate everyday banking challenges, from online access issues to card disputes, while delivering a calm and supportive experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with online banking login, password resets and digital tool navigation.
• Resolve card disputes, transaction queries and provide clear information on regulatory requirements.
• Guide customers to appropriate digital self‑service options and ensure they feel heard and supported.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver consistent, compliant service.

Required profile

• Strong background in customer service or administration with a genuine passion for helping people.
• Confidence using digital tools and the ability to explain them clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while staying calm and solution‑focused.
• Willingness to learn about financial services, compliance and regulated environments.
• Natural problem‑solver with a growth mindset and desire for a long‑term career.
