Banking Consultant – Retail Banking (Palmerston North)

About the role

As a Banking Consultant you will provide exceptional customer experiences across ANZ’s retail product set (excluding Home Lending). You will engage customers in needs‑based conversations, promote digital solutions and help achieve both customer and financial outcomes for the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver positive customer outcomes and high satisfaction at all stages of interaction.
• Utilise ANZ frameworks to explore and understand financial needs of current and potential customers.
• Educate customers on digital banking benefits and demonstrate easy ways to use banking services.
• Support team members with branch workload and share ideas for improvement.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of bank processes, products and services to confidently meet customer needs.

Required profile

• Strong customer focus with a results‑oriented service mindset.
• Lending capabilities – consumer lending experience.
• Excellent relationship and networking skills.
• Understanding of compliance requirements.
• Computer literacy.
