Assistant Manager - Audit

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to lead audits from start to finish, taking full ownership of client relationships and technical audit delivery. You will join a supportive, friendly audit team based in the heart of Taranaki, working with a diverse portfolio of not‑for‑profit and for‑profit organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and finalise audits, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Maintain direct client liaison throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Manage your own workload and assist the wider team with planning and delivery.
• Provide training and support to junior team members.
• Contribute to the development of audit methodologies and share technical knowledge.

Required profile

• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and IPSAS reporting standards.
• CA qualification (or working towards it) with at least 4 years’ experience in a CA firm.
• Experience across a variety of industries, both not‑for‑profit and for‑profit.
• Strong analytical mindset and passion for understanding detailed financial information.
• Commitment to quality, efficiency and professionalism.
