Team Leader – Water Treatment (Queenstown)

About the role

The Team Leader – Water Treatment will support the operational team in Queenstown to ensure the effective, efficient and safe operation of water treatment and network facilities, delivering safe drinking water to the community.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on plant and network assets (planned, routine, breakdown).
• Identify, diagnose and escalate problems; conduct fault finding and repairs on water‑treatment equipment.
• Participate in the on‑call roster, supervising alarms and incidents as required.
• Contribute to health‑ and safety, quality assurance and environmental management systems.
• Ensure compliance with Veolia’s occupational health, safety and water quality policies.
• Schedule preventive‑maintenance tasks and day‑to‑day activities for the operational team.
• Assist with managing the on‑call roster and updating water‑related O&M manuals.

Required profile

• Combination of relevant education, training and industry experience in water treatment or related fields.
• Computer literacy.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.

• Ability to work on‑call and respond to alarms.
