Team Lead - Capital Works

About the role

We are seeking a Team Lead for Capital Works to drive the delivery of infrastructure projects for Selwyn Council. In this senior leadership position you will oversee projects from concept through to completion, ensuring they meet quality, time and budget targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial, quality, health & safety, procurement and risk management activities across the Capital Works portfolio.
• Coach, mentor and develop project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Assist asset managers with conceptual design and project scoping.
• Procure professional services and physical works contracts.
• Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and review formal reports and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in team leadership or senior project management on infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects safely, on time, to quality and budget.
• Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring and collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and consultation abilities.
