Software Engineer – Cloud Applications for Civil Construction

About the role

Join Trimble’s Civil Construction Field Systems – Cloud Software division in New Zealand and help shape the future of construction technology. You will design, analyse, and build robust web applications that support the entire civil construction lifecycle, from design to fleet management, while working in an agile, DevOps‑focused team.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, design, program, and modify web‑based software applications.
• Drive the full software development lifecycle, including new product releases, upgrades, and defect resolution.
• Write clean, testable code using modern languages and perform rigorous testing and debugging.
• Collaborate with QA, Operations, and Product Managers to ensure continuous deployment and fit‑for‑purpose solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Experience building backend systems with C#/.NET, SQL, REST or GraphQL.
• Strong commitment to code quality, testing, and automation.
• Ability to analyse complex business processes and produce clear technical specifications.
• Experience with cloud‑hosted applications, preferably Microsoft Azure, and a DevOps mindset.
• Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
