Social Media Manager – Junior Level

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Social Media Manager to lead the online presence of a children’s early‑literacy reading scheme. The role is freelance and focuses on connecting with parents, teachers and homeschooling families through engaging, playful content.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a content strategy for Instagram and Facebook, emphasizing Reels, short videos and illustrated posts.
• Create visual assets and storytelling pieces that reflect the brand’s educational identity.
• Write age‑appropriate captions and copy that resonate with parents and educators.
• Monitor audience growth, engagement metrics and adjust tactics to expand reach within budget constraints.
• Collaborate with the team remotely, providing regular updates and insights.

Required profile

• Passion for childhood education and experience with children’s, parenting or educational brands.
• Reliable, collaborative and comfortable working independently.
• Flexible schedule and ability to manage a modest initial budget.

Required skills

• Demonstrated experience managing social media for children‑focused or educational audiences.
• Strong knowledge of Instagram and Facebook, including Reels and short‑form video creation.
• Excellent storytelling and visual content creation abilities.
• Proficiency in writing engaging, age‑appropriate captions.
