Senior Solicitor – Project & Infrastructure Finance

About the role

Chapman Tripp’s Wellington Finance Practice is seeking a Senior Solicitor or Senior Associate to join its high‑performing project finance team. The role focuses on infrastructure projects, including procurement, contracting and financing, and involves acting for banks, funds, developers, local authorities and public sector entities.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on the development and project financing of large‑scale renewable energy projects.
• Provide counsel on the Infrastructure Funding and Financing Act.
• Support government bodies on public‑private partnerships.
• Assist government agencies with new approaches and structuring advice for infrastructure funding and financing.
• Guide energy sector clients on significant infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• 4+ years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Demonstrated experience in infrastructure finance, procurement, contracting or financing.
