Senior Project Manager

About the role

ElectroNet is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of major energy infrastructure projects in New Zealand. The role will focus on powering communities and shaping the country's energy future. The position is based on‑site in Christchurch Central.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, design and execution of large‑scale energy infrastructure projects.
• Manage project budgets, schedules and resources to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Report progress and performance to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex construction or energy projects.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work on‑site and travel as required.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or a related field.
