Senior Personal Banker

About the role

The Senior Personal Banker joins ANZ’s Personal Banking Branch Network in Auckland, directly serving customers and guiding them through the home‑buying journey. The role also supports junior staff on complex needs and works closely with the Branch Manager to deliver the retail strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Act as an initiator and role model for ANZ products.
• Support the Branch Manager in day‑to‑day branch operations and strategy execution.
• Provide customers with home loans, insurance, investment products and transactional services.
• Maintain a strong “know your customer” approach from a risk perspective.
• Deliver a positive, relationship‑based customer experience that addresses complete financial needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience building strong relationships in a customer‑focused environment.
• Significant background in financial services, preferably retail banking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Leadership and coaching capabilities.
• Comfort with technology and ability to promote its use.
• Strong multitasking skills and adaptability to change and ambiguity.
