Relationship Associate – Business Banking

About the role

The Relationship Associate supports a team of Relationship Managers in the Business Banking division, helping customers navigate banking solutions and delivering insightful financial analysis. This position is designed for emerging talent with the potential to progress into full Relationship Management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer portfolios, understand their goals, challenges and value propositions.
• Enhance ANZ’s market presence by gaining deep knowledge of customer industries and trends.
• Build and maintain effective relationships across Business Banking and other ANZ divisions.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, senior managers and product partners to design and deliver tailored customer solutions.
• Ensure compliance with bank standards and uphold operational excellence.
• Provide financial analysis and interpret customer data to support accurate credit decisions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the bank’s credit policies and issues.

Required profile

• Strong financial literacy, analytical ability and commercial acumen.
• Proven experience in relationship‑focused, customer‑delivery roles.
• Understanding of security structuring and credit considerations.
• Banking experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Preferably holds an accounting or finance degree, though this is not a strict requirement.
