About the role
WSP New Zealand is seeking a Property Consultant to join its South Island regional team. You will work on acquisition, disposal and legalisation projects across a variety of public and private property portfolios, delivering high‑quality outcomes for clients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary property group.
Key responsibilities
- Manage property acquisition, disposal and legalisation assignments for regional and central government clients.
- Conduct valuations and provide advice on property law matters, including the Public Works Act, Local Government Act and Reserves Act.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for owners, stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with the wider WSP Property team to ensure consistent, client‑focused service delivery.
- Support both part‑time and full‑time project schedules across Nelson, Blenheim, Greymouth, Dunedin or Invercargill.
Required profile
- Relevant tertiary qualification in property, law or a related discipline.
- Minimum three years of professional experience in property, valuation or legal advisory roles.
- Familiarity with New Zealand property legislation (Public Works Act, Local Government Act, Reserves Act) is an advantage.
- Proven ability to engage with property owners and professionals, produce accurate reports and manage time effectively.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and independent working capabilities, while thriving in a team environment.
