Pharmacy Intern – 2027

About the role

Join Woolworths Pharmacy’s growing network of over 45 locations across New Zealand as a Pharmacy Intern. You will gain hands‑on experience in all aspects of community pharmacy practice while supporting the health needs of local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescriptions and manage medication inventory.
• Provide medication counselling and health advice to diverse patient groups.
• Participate in role‑play training sessions and an annual professional development conference.
• Collaborate with preceptors and pharmacy teams across multiple sites.
• Maintain compliance with New Zealand pharmacy legislation and standards.

Required profile

• Currently completing a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in New Zealand or Australia, with graduation expected by the end of 2026.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
• Retail pharmacy experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Willingness to undertake a 12‑month intern year starting December 2026.

Required skills

• KAPS pharmacy management system.
• Completion of a pharmacy legislation course.
