Operations Manager - Warehouse & Distribution

About the role

Ingram Micro is looking for an experienced, people-focused Operations Manager to lead its Auckland warehouse and distribution operations in Manukau. The role oversees inbound, outbound, returns and customer operations, with a team of 30+ employees led through supervisors and team leaders. It works closely with internal stakeholders, customers and logistics partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day warehouse operations across inbound, outbound and returns functions.
• Ensure performance meets service levels, quality standards and customer expectations.
• Drive a safety-first culture and comply with health and safety requirements.
• Manage warehouse resources, workforce planning and labour utilisation.
• Monitor and improve KPIs, productivity, inventory accuracy and cost performance.
• Build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, and oversee customer operational reviews.
• Lead continuous improvement, implement SOPs, quality frameworks and compliance processes.
• Lead, coach and performance-manage supervisors and team leaders, and support succession planning and talent development.
• Ensure security, regulatory compliance, business continuity and audit readiness.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an operations manager or senior operational leader in warehousing, logistics, distribution or supply chain.
• Proven experience leading large teams through supervisors and frontline leaders.
• Experience managing operational budgets, workforce planning and performance metrics.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and compliance.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or certification in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field is desirable.

Required skills

• Warehouse operations, inventory management, transport coordination and customer service.
• Experience with WMS, SAP, JDE or similar ERP platforms.
• Analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
