Maintenance Electrician – Manufacturing Plant

About the role

Pact Packaging is seeking a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join its Albany manufacturing site. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will ensure the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of all plant equipment, site services, and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and respond quickly to breakdowns.
• Use the CMMS (MEX) to schedule work, track orders, and manage spare‑parts inventory.
• Monitor critical site services and coordinate with external contractors.
• Oversee building and infrastructure maintenance, including electrical systems.
• Champion housekeeping, food‑safety, 6S, HACCP and GMP standards.
• Support automation upgrades and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Carry out basic mechanical tasks such as replacing belts, bearings, and components.
• Ensure compliance with WHSE, FSSC22000, ISO14001 and promote a zero‑harm culture.

Required profile

• Trade‑qualified Industrial Electrician with a current EWRB practising licence.
• Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Practical mechanical aptitude for basic component replacement.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable and professional attitude.

Required skills

• CMMS (MEX) proficiency.
• Office 365 familiarity.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills across electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
