General Counsel - Remote

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to work remotely on a contract basis. The role focuses on creating, refining, and evaluating contract negotiation playbooks and commercial agreements to support our AI‑training documentation project.

Key responsibilities

• Create, review, and improve contract negotiation playbooks tailored to real‑world scenarios.
• Draft, analyze, and annotate commercial agreements ensuring clarity, precision, and compliance.
• Provide expert commentary on best practices for contract management and negotiation strategies.
• Curate and supply non‑confidential transaction materials for project documentation.
• Evaluate and optimise existing contract templates to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with micro1’s team to align materials with project guidelines and AI‑training needs.
• Deliver high‑quality written and verbal feedback to improve system understanding and output.

Required profile

• Current or prior experience as General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or Assistant General Counsel with a focus on contract negotiation playbooks.
• Proven expertise in commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and management within corporate environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Knowledge of industry‑standard practices for contract review and risk assessment.
• Experience developing or using contract negotiation playbooks for companies.
• Familiarity with document‑driven project assignments, including sourcing and submitting eligible materials.
• Ability to work independently and provide concise, actionable insights for AI training purposes.
