Full‑Time Caregiver – Retirement Village

About the role

Join a supportive team at Bob Scott Retirement Village in Petone, Lower Hutt, and make a meaningful impact on residents' lives. As a full‑time caregiver you will provide compassionate personal care and support while working alongside experienced health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care and assistance according to each resident’s care plan under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Observe and promptly report any changes in a resident’s condition or behaviour to senior staff.
• Maintain resident safety, privacy and comfort at all times.
• Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate (or equivalent) with at least 3 years relevant experience, OR a Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate (or equivalent).
• Genuine empathy for elderly residents and a commitment to creating a welcoming living environment.
• Willingness to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, including occasional weekend days.

Required skills

• Ability to follow care plans and provide personal assistance.
• Strong observation skills to identify changes in resident status.
• Accurate record‑keeping of care activities.
