Finance Solicitor (Senior) – Corporate & Institutional Finance

About the role

Chapman Tripp’s Auckland Finance Practice is seeking a Solicitor or Senior Solicitor to join its leading team, focusing on corporate and institutional finance. The role works closely with partners on market‑leading finance transactions, providing legal advice and transactional support for general lending, project finance and securitisation matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and support clients on general lending, project finance and securitisation transactions.
• Lead and contribute to large‑scale syndicated financing and acquisition deals for domestic and international corporate, financial institutions and borrower clients.
• Collaborate with partners Gerard Souness, Cathryn Barber and Jana Hitchcock to structure and negotiate complex finance agreements.

Required profile

• 3–7 years post‑qualification experience in finance law, preferably with exposure to corporate and institutional finance transactions.
• Proven ability to handle high‑value, complex financing deals and to work effectively within a collaborative, high‑performing team.
