Dispensary Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on, people‑focused Dispensary Team Lead to oversee the dispensary operation at Danone Nutricia Balclutha. The role ensures safe, efficient and compliant dispensing that supports production performance, with a strong emphasis on stock accuracy, material availability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safety and compliance initiatives, including hazard identification, corrective actions and Permit to Work processes.
• Develop team capability through training plans, coaching and competency record‑keeping.
• Translate production plans into micro‑ingredient requirements, manage stock control, weekly counts and replenishment.
• Maintain inventory discipline, FEFO, labelling compliance and traceability standards.
• Monitor deliveries, stock accuracy and SAP reporting (SOH/0007), lead stocktakes and investigate variances.
• Support daily operations, maintain dispensary documentation and coordinate maintenance, staffing and payroll.
• Drive performance, problem‑solving and continuous‑improvement initiatives, including IWS implementation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across teams and shifts.
• Experience in food or dairy manufacturing (preferred) and practical understanding of hygiene controls.
• Confidence using reporting tools such as Excel and Word; SAP exposure is advantageous.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset (Lean/DaMaWay experience favourable) and strong problem‑solving ability.
• Leadership capability to coach, build accountability and develop others.
