Corporate Energy Lawyer – Auckland (3+ PQE)

About the role

Are you passionate about renewable energy and ready to make a real impact? Our market‑leading national energy team is seeking a corporate and commercial lawyer to join our Auckland office. You will advise on major energy projects, commercial contracts, mergers & acquisitions, and regulatory matters, helping shape New Zealand’s energy future.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on major energy projects, including commercial contracts, mergers & acquisitions, and regulatory matters.
• Collaborate directly with partner Lauren Curtayne on high‑profile projects and develop long‑term client relationships.

Required profile

• 3+ years post‑qualification experience in a corporate legal role.
• LLB (or equivalent) with a strong academic record.
• Commercially astute, client‑focused and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in large‑law‑firm complex transactions (desired) and interest in the energy sector (essential).
