Business Analyst

About the role

Mons Royale is seeking a Business Analyst to help scale its data, reporting, and systems as the company grows. Based in Wanaka, this hands‑on position works across multiple tools and platforms to ensure data is well‑structured, flows smoothly, and powers reporting that teams actually use.

Key responsibilities

• Build and improve Power BI reporting dashboards.
• Support data flows across systems such as Backbone, NetSuite, Shopify, Azure, and reporting tools.
• Maintain and enhance core data structures, including SKU data, pricing, and sales intelligence.
• Identify and resolve issues, inefficiencies, and breaks in processes.
• Assist teams in using systems and data effectively in daily work.
• Contribute to systems projects, implementations, upgrades, and new platform rollouts.
• Support process mapping, data setup, testing, and rollout when systems change.

Required profile

• Passionate about Mons Royale’s mission to shift the adventure‑sports industry toward natural fibres.
• Confident with data – able to structure, interrogate, and validate data sets.
• Comfortable working across datasets and systems, proactively fixing data‑flow friction.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
• Curious about how the business operates beyond the numbers.
• Interest in AI and emerging tools for data use.
• Ability to collaborate with both technical and non‑technical teams.
• Experience with ERP, PLM, inventory or retail systems is a bonus.
