Audit Lead – Senior Internal Audit Manager

About the role

Join ANZ's Internal Audit team as a senior leader responsible for delivering technology‑focused assurance across New Zealand’s largest bank. You will work directly with the Board Audit Committee, leveraging advanced digital tools and data analytics to enhance audit quality and support the integrity of the financial system.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver technology audits covering cyber security, cloud infrastructure, applications and major transformation programmes.
• Assess the design and effectiveness of technology controls, identify risks and recommend improvements.
• Partner with senior technology, risk and business stakeholders to provide independent, risk‑focused assurance.
• Utilise data analytics and digital audit tools to uncover trends and generate actionable insights.
• Prepare clear audit findings, root‑cause analyses and practical recommendations for senior leadership.
• Coach and develop audit team members while evolving internal audit methodologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior audit manager or lead in a financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of technology risk, cyber security and cloud platforms.
• Ability to communicate complex risk concepts to senior executives and board members.
• Track record of leading high‑performing audit teams and delivering strategic assurance.
