Account Manager

About the role

Ecolab is seeking an Account Manager to partner with food and beverage manufacturers across Eastern Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Coromandel. You will use Ecolab’s global expertise to improve operational efficiency, food safety and product quality while helping customers reduce operating costs.

Key responsibilities

• Implement tailored cleaning and sanitising programmes that align with customer objectives.
• Conduct training sessions to ensure effective, safe and efficient use of Ecolab products and equipment.
• Act as a trusted advisor, understanding customers’ operational challenges and proposing solutions.
• Identify and develop sales and business‑development opportunities within dairy, brewing, beverage, protein and food‑processing sectors.
• Collaborate with internal functional groups and manage an independent portfolio to achieve results.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of customer organisations.
• Solution‑focused mindset and passion for problem‑solving.
• Understanding of technical and engineering concepts relevant to customers and Ecolab.
• Preferably a tertiary qualification in dairy science, food science or related food‑and‑beverage processing experience.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities, sell value‑added solutions and deliver win‑win outcomes.
• Valid New Zealand driver’s licence (essential).
