Tech Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Tech Support Specialist to be the central point of contact for all internal Corporate IT issues at Paymark, New Zealand’s leading electronic payments provider. You will own end‑to‑end Level 1 and Level 2 support, ensuring our staff can work efficiently while escalating complex problems to Level 3 teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide responsive Level 1 and Level 2 support across Windows, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, printers and virtual environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve end‑user issues, managing incidents from first contact through to resolution.
• Escalate incidents to Level 3 specialists when required.
• Perform device setup, software installations and system updates.
• Maintain accurate documentation, asset registers and knowledge‑base articles.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and standards.

Required profile

• 2–3 + years of experience in an IT support or similar role.
• Strong troubleshooting ability across end‑user devices and enterprise systems.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical users.
• Proactive, can‑do attitude with a desire to help people and keep learning.
