Tax Manager – Global Tax Function (9‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Join the Finance team in Auckland as a Tax Manager on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract. You will support both New Zealand and overseas group companies, working alongside an experienced global tax team across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and support the preparation of New Zealand income tax returns.
• Assist with the global tax compliance programme to ensure timely and accurate lodgements.
• Provide tax advice on international tax, withholding taxes, GST, FBT and business transactions.
• Support strategic projects, business transformation initiatives and growth opportunities.
• Assist with transfer pricing and Country‑by‑Country Reporting requirements.
• Contribute to tax governance, controls and risk‑management activities.
• Prepare tax calculations and disclosures for half‑year and year‑end reporting across the global group.

Required profile

• 4‑6+ years of corporate tax experience in professional services or a large corporate environment.
• Strong working knowledge of New Zealand taxation.
• Exposure to international tax matters and cross‑border transactions (highly regarded).
• Understanding of financial reporting and IFRS.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Collaborative, proactive attitude with a desire to continuously improve.
• Degree in Accounting or Law; CA qualification preferred.
