Senior Manager Cards Uplift Programme

About the role

ANZ’s Retail Products team is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Cards Uplift Programme, a strategic initiative to modernise the bank’s credit and debit card propositions for personal, business and institutional customers. Reporting to the General Manager, Retail Products and sitting on the Retail Products Leadership Team, you will own the end‑to‑end delivery of the programme, ensuring it aligns with ANZ’s strategic priorities and stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end oversight of the Cards Uplift programme, including scope definition, funding, delivery planning and value realisation.
• Lead programme planning and execution from discovery through delivery and reporting, driving outcomes at pace and scale.
• Balance and prioritise work across Personal, Business, Agri and Institutional segments to meet diverse stakeholder needs.
• Identify, assess and manage risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on delivery.
• Collaborate closely with Delivery, Change, Technology, Marketing and Customer Experience teams to ensure consistent ways of working and strong execution.
• Report progress and outcomes to senior leadership, maintaining alignment with strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior programme or project management within a banking or financial services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, cross‑functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with a focus on delivering measurable business value.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to navigate complexity and drive consensus.
